Continuing Education Requirements

It is our current understanding that the Associated Bodywork and Massage Professionals (ABMP) has three different levels of membership. The number of continuing education hours required is dependent upon your membership level. While this information is detailed below, we suggest contacting the ABMP directly at 800-458-2267 for any questions you may have or for verification of your continuing education requirements.

ABMP Certified Level:

The certified member level requires massage therapists to complete 16 hours of massage therapy continuing education every 2 years. It is our understanding that the ABMP will accept all of our home study programs because we are approved by the NCBTMB as a Continuing Education Approved Provider (#049478-00).

ABMP Professional Level:

Currently, there are no massage therapy continuing education hours required to renew membership at this level.

ABMP Practitioner Level:

Currently, there are no massage therapy continuing education hours required to renew membership at this level.

Remember, the Institute for Integrative Healthcare Studies is approved by the NCBTMB as a continuing education Approved Provider (#049478-00). All of our continuing education programs can be used for your National Certification renewal, with the exception of Nerve Mobilization.
