To maintain IMA membership 16 massage therapy continuing education hours are required every 4 years for Practicing Memberships and every 2 years for Therapist Memberships.

The 16 massage continuing education hours must be earned through IMA approved vendors. However, a list of approved vendors is not available at this time. It is our understanding that members are being grandfathered into this requirement and may not need to completed these continuing education hours until 2010.
