Massage therapy license requirements vary from state to state, and the laws are constantly changing. It's our current understanding that, in Kentucky, 24 hours of massage therapy continuing education, including 3 hours of professional ethics, are required every 2 years for professional re-licensure. Topics relevant to ethics, business practices, science, and techniques related to massage therapy are accepted.
It is also our understanding that the Kentucky Board of Massage will accept our programs to fulfill these continuing education requirements because the Institute for Integrative Healthcare Studies is approved by the NCBTMB as a continuing education Approved Provider (#049478-00).
If you would like to verify this information, or have further questions regarding your massage therapy continuing education requirements, we suggest contacting the Kentucky Board of Massage directly. The telephone number for the Kentucky Board is (502) 564-3296 or visit their website at http://finance.ky.gov.
Remember, the Institute for Integrative Healthcare Studies is approved by the NCBTMB as a continuing education Approved Provider (#049478-00). All of our continuing education programs can be used for your National Certification renewal.
