New Mexico Massage Therapy

Continuing Education Requirements

Massage therapy license requirements vary from state to state, and the laws are constantly changing. It's our current understanding that, in New Mexico, 16 massage therapy continuing education credits, to include 4 credits in ethics, are required every 2 years for professional re-licensure, prior to the October 31st renewal date.

UPDATED NEW MEXICO RULE SEPTEMBER 4, 2009

It is also our understanding that as of September 4, 2009 the New Mexico Board of Massage will accept any of our non-technique home study programs to fulfill these 16 hours of continuing education because the Institute for Integrative Healthcare Studies is approved by the NCBTMB as a continuing education Approved Provider (#049478-00).
